As Different as a Frog and a Grizzly by Dr. Jan Younger

Fayette Opera House in Fayette, Ohio runs a series called the Steinem-Nyce after two important community members who had very different ideas and yet were able to work together.

Stressing the need for civil discussion and civic engagement, "As Different as a Frog and a Grizzly" by Dr. Jan Younger, is being presented as a reading to encourage new insights.

The play, which has been performed before and revised for this event, contrasts Theodore Roosevelt and Mark Twain, two men who had much to say about each other, at least privately, during their lifetimes.

It has been said that as Roosevelt dominated the politics of the era, Mark Twain as the author of Huckleberry Finn, dominated its culture.

Script-in-Hand is honored to be working with this important project.
